My name is Kathleen McGillick and I am a solo practitoner located in Woodstock Ga about 20 miles north of Atlanta. My focus is on meeting and exceeding my client's needs and expectations. I zealously represent clients in the pursuit of justice.
I entered the John Marshall School of Law in 1992 and graduated in 1994. Upon being admitted to the state bar in 1994 I opened a general practice in Cherokee and Cobb County providing services such as Criminal Defense, Business Law , Wills and Estate matters and Family Law. Today my law practice is focused primarily around Family Law issues such as Divorces, Child Support and Custody Issues and Adoptions. Additionally I have a limited practice in Intellectual Property which encompasess Copyrights and Trademarks. In 2004 I became a Registered Civil and Domestic Mediator.
Prior to my admission to the state bar I had been a Registered Professional Nurse. I graduated in 1977 from the University of Miami's BSN program and continued my advanced nursing education at the Graduate level attending Adelphi University where I received a Masters in Nursing Education and I attended Columbia University Master of Science Nurse Anesthesia Program.
My focus as a Registered Professional Nurse was on accademia as I maintained a position on the faculty at Pace University as a Nursing Professor as well as at Westchester Community College as a Clinical Instructor. I continue to maintain my nursing license in the States of Georgia and Virginia and utilize aspects of my nursing background in my present work. I frequently consult on Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury cases and had been retained as an expert witness in Medical Malpractice cases when I was practicing nursing.
